The University of São Paulo is one of the largest universities in Brazil and Latin America. The university facilities are spread over seven locations in the state of São Paulo: two in the city of São Paulo itself, the others in the cities of Bauru, Lorena, Piracicaba, Pirassununga, Ribeirão Preto and São Carlos. The motto of the university is "Scientia Vinces". The USP is active in the fields of teaching, research and university development in all areas of knowledge.
The Mechatronics Group of the University of São Paulo
The Mechatronics Group of the University of São Paulo stands for innovation in the fields of robotics, mechatronics, control and Artificial Intelligence. The laboratory is also part of the CePOF - Center of Excellence for Optics and Photonics (cepof.ifsc.usp.br). The Mechatronics Group comprises five large research laboratories: mobile robotics, robotic manipulation, robotic rehabilitation, instrumentation and the advanced control laboratory. The research area of the Mechatronics Group includes the development of intelligent sensors, control techniques and the design of new robots and mechatronic systems.
In this research project the expertise of the research partners complement each other, so that we can use synergies in the development of the assembly support system.
