For more than 100 years, the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of the RWTH Aachen University has stood for future-oriented research and successful innovations in the field of production technology. The Chair of Production Metrology and Quality Management works in the fields of development and optimization of measuring technologies and machines, production-integrated metrology, quality management systems and methods, organizational development as well as knowledge, innovation and improvement management. The research activities of the chair - in basic research as well as in practical development - deal with the challenges of controlling production processes as well as the management of inspection tasks.
